customer service my ass

I know it's a stupid gripe, but nothing puts me in a bad mood more than trying to get a simple question answered by people who's job it is to answer simple questions. I'm having serious DVR withdrawl, so I called my cable company to double check that the office in Long Island City is the place to go to exchange boxes. Apparently in their bubble, people don't move. The concept of me living in New York, but having a Chicago area code is a mind blowing concept to them. They keep transfering me to a Chicago office (where this company doesn't even offer service) and I say "I need to know the nearest office location to Astoria, New York" and they go, "oh, well let's transfer you to a New York office" "What is you telephone number and how can I help you?"......"773........And I want to add a DVR to my account...and I live in New yo...."....."ok, I'll transfer you to that department"......."thank you for calling RCN in Chicago, how may I help you?".......

^&*#^#gJ&^#%!!^@*(#

That was the aneurysm that just exploded in my head. The nice lady in Pittsburg was able to help me out.

Great start to my day.....I need another pot of coffee; is it to early to Irish it up?....
